Summary (The daffodils)
"Daffodils" is a wonderful poem gleaned by the pen of William Wordsworth, a great romantic poet that
always found something in the company of Nature either for delight or even for nourishment of human
soul. Wordsworth, as we all know him for, is considered the greatest romantic poet that used to
describe Nature in its very essence and shape. Daffodils, a splendid manifestation of Natural beauty, not
only astound but also enslave the thought pattern of the poet. Wordsworth relates that he had the
craze of enjoying the company of Nature, so on one such occasion while he was roaming about a lake,
he found a "host of golden daffodils".

Page 24

The daffodils were moving with the wind. They were growing besides a lake. And the setting of the
scene inspired the poet to the extent that he was lost in the beauty and appealing fascination of the
daffodils. Wordsworth then goes on to compare these dancing flowers, daffodils, to the twinkling stars
that appear at night in, far in the Milky Way. Probably, he wishes to create a resemblance of the way the
stars attract us and the impression of the daffodils on the poet's first sight. The poet was almost shocked
to find such a wonderful host of daffodils as we are amazed to see numerous stars shining in the sky.
The poet also wishes us to notice that the flowers' movement is no lesser beautiful than the twinkling of
the stars that capture our sight.
The clear white water of the lake appears to be the Milky Way whereas the number of stars a person
can see in a sight is ten thousand so, there were daffodils in such a big number that the poet could say
"ten thousand saw I at a glance". Wordsworth then goes on to compare those daffodils to the moving
water and waves of the lake. He declares that the beauty of the dancing daffodils clearly eclipsed the
beauty of entire Nature around them. The poet finds himself lucky to have viewed the scene: "I gazed-
and gazed-but little thought what wealth the show to me had brought:"

necessary along with the knowledge of other subjects.
Computer has many advantages but there are some disadvantages also. If we follow these
disadvantages so we can say that computer is a curse. Children play various types of game on
computer, thus they not only waste their time but also become careless from their studies. The
misuse of computer appears when it is connected through internet. Most of the students, young
boys and girls use chat service on their computers through internet connection. Thus they
waste their precious time, it is necessary to produce the awareness about the constructive use
of a computer then it is a blessing more than that of a curse.

My country
The name of my country is Pakistan. It came into being on the 14th August 1947.The Muslims of
India Pakistan had to make great sacrifices to achieve Pakistan. Karachi became the capital of
Pakistan after independence .Quaid-e-eAzam Muhammad Ali Jinnah assumed the office of the
Governor General .but he did not live long and he died on the 11th September 1948.
Pakistan is basically an agricultural country. A great portion of population depends on

over whelming majority. but people of other religions enjoy equal civil and political rights.
Urdu is the national language of Pakistan. Sindhi,Pashto, Punjabi and Baluchi are the other
important languages of Pakistan .The national dress of Pakistan is shalwar-kameez.
When Pakistan came into being .it had no resources .it was poor in all respects but in course of

My School
I read in the Sachal Sarmast public school .It is not a Government school.
Our school is built in the open. It is far away from the dust, noise and smoke of the city. Its
building is very grand. it has verandahs on both the sides of classrooms. There are shady trees
near the verandahs.
Near the gate there are two small gardens in which there are grassy lawns, flowers beds, fruit
trees and a beautiful fountain. How nice is to sit on the grassy lawns in summer evenings! We
enjoy the sweet smell of flowers and the dance of beautiful butterflies.
Our school has two science labs, a big library and a reading room .The library is full of books
on all subjects. Every student can borrow books from the library .Beside these, there are about
twenty classrooms principal‘s office and a clerk’s office. There are about twenty teachers in the
school .They are all highly qualified. They all work hard in teaching us. They help the students
in every possible way. They are their true friends and guides .Our results are the best not only
in the city but in the district also. All the teachers are Sympathetic and kind .They look after
our studies .They also take care of our health and character.
The principal of our school is an old hand. He is very particular about discipline. He keeps the
school compound clean and tidy. He is a man of character .He himself is punctual, so he excepts
punctuality from his teachers and students. He is an ideal for the members of his staff. He do
not allow students to attend school in dirty clothes. He relives in action.
We are taught honesty, industry and truthfulness by him. Hence our school students are
obedient, well behaved and mannerly.
The best thing in the school is the good arrangement of games, debates and scouting.
It is the best of all schools. it is proud of its good students and the students are proud of their
good school. I love it dearly.

Unity faith and Discipline
Quaid-e-Azam gave us this slogan as our national motto in the struggle for independence. The
essay is argumentative and you can make it interesting with examples contented? From the
life of our Quaid-e-Azam Note the following
Unity, Faith and Discipline our national motto
How did these principles enable us to achieve Pakistan?
Unity- its meaning and importance The implication and significance of faith
Discipline-Why does it mean and how can it help us various walks of life?
Every Pakistani knows that this was the motto of our Quaid-e-Azam by his own example he
showed how this could be true and how can we achieve our ideal with the help of these
principles .In his life Quaid-e-Azam preached the Muslims to stand united to keep faith in God
and cultivate self-confidence and ultimately to maintain perfect sense of discipline .

Page 64

The result was tremendous .The whole world wondered when Pakistan came into being in the
teeth of opposition from all sides .The Muslims in the British India were very backward
people. The Hindus Dominated them in almost all the aspects of life .In education they were
stronger than the Muslims their financial position was very excelled.Commerce and industry
was entirely in their hands .The British rules liked the Hindus and considered Muslims
incapable of having and maintaining freedom. In these distressing circumstances Quaid-e-
Azam united the Muslims and gave them hope for the better future instead of frustration .With
deep rooted faith in their owb selves Quaid-e-Azam enabled them to fight for freedom in the
most disciplined manner.Consequently the Muslims exercised .Their own right of self
determination and won separate home-land for themselves .Let us analysis these principles
one by one.Unity is the most fundamental and important factor in the history of any
organization .we can not have any idea of common struggle in the life of any group without
unity of its members. A cricket team, for example cannot show any performance if the players
are not united. An institution cannot achieve its purpose if there is disunity among its
members? A nation cannot even exist if the people are disunited.A state cannot perform its
function properly if the men at the helm of affairs are disintegrated .A government cannot
maintain law and order if the people have their own way. Even in a family peace and
prosperity is impossible with out the unity of all its members. The next important thing is faith
broadly speaking faith may also be used for one’s belief in religion. Here the word mainly
implies confidence in the truth of the principles and their ultimate success.
The last but not the least,is the sense of discipline faith determines your goal, gives you as noble
and sublime ideal and fills your heart with hope of success.Unity enables you to drive
onward,to push a head with your entire main and might in a team -spirit.Discipline will help
you to achieve your purpose .Discipline is the essentialquality required in the advancement of
civilization and culture .It is a quality that makes a man of you that distinguishes a man from
animals.Indiscipline in a society is a mark of decadence that is sure to bring social injustice
,degradation and other evils in its wake.

6. A Letter to Younger Brother Advising Him to Take Interest in His Studies
Examination Hall,
March 16, 2003.
My Dear Brother,
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I am sorry to tell you that it hurts me to hear from your class teacher that you did not do well
in the terminal tests. You have failed in English and Maths. You should be ashamed of it. You
know I always showed good results in the same school. All teachers know that you are my
brother. They expect good results from you also. I have also come to know that you are often
absent from class and have joined a bad company. I am shocked to learn all this.
I therefore warn you to mend your ways. Work hard and win the admiration of your parents
and teachers. You should devote much time to your students and make up your deficiency. I
hope next time you will show good results.
Yours affectionately
